Is job advertising with Thirst4Work free?

Yes!  It’s free to create a Thirst4Work account, and free to post as many job ad’s as you like.  Each free job ad expires after 14 days, so you will need to log in and re-activate them if you want them to stay visible in searches.

We have the option for companies to upgrade their packages to a Premium system.  Contact us for a list of products and pricings.

Trouble logging in?

  • If you receive a “sign in failed” message it is possible that you have entered your username and password incorrectly.  Password is case-sensitive.
  • If you receive a message stating that your administrator needs to confirm you as a user see “Administrator” section.
  • Try the “reset password” button on the sign-in box.  A new password will be emailed to the email address that is used as your username.  NOTE: passwords may be changed at any time by going to the “My Details” section of your account.
  • If you are still experiencing problems logging into your account, please contact us here or send us an email describing your problem to support@thirst4work.com or call us +27 32 586 0106 (during office hours)

How do I change my password?

Go to your “My Details” section of your account and follow the prompts to edit your password.

How do I change my username/email address?

At the moment you are unable to change your username/email address yourself, you will need to contact us to do this for you.  Please call +27 32 586 0106 during office hours, or send us an email to support@thirst4work.com

Administrators:

Who is the administrator?

When a new company is registered on Thirst4Work, the first user of that new company to sign up is automatically made the administrator of that company’s account.  The administrator has to confirm other users in their company before they can log into their accounts.  The administrator will receive an email notification informing them that a new user has signed up to Thirst4Work and will need to confirm them.

My administrator needs to confirm me as a user – what does this mean?

The first user of your company to sign up to Thirst4Work is automatically made the administrator for your company.  After you have signed up as a secondary user to this company, you will not be able to log into your account until the first user confirms that you are part of their company.  Your administrator will receive an email notification requesting them to confirm you as a user.

How does an administrator confirm a user?

An administrator will receive an email notification requesting them to confirm a user.  If you are an administrator and you recognise the new user, you will need to do the following:

  • Log into your account, on your Dashboard/home under the heading “Users” click the word “activate” next to their names.

If you do not recognise the user you should not confirm them on your company’s account.  Simply leave them as de-activated.  Should you wish to delete a user entirely from your system, please contact us and we will be happy to do so. Can I change the administrator for my company?

You are unable to change your company’s administrator yourself.  Should you wish to do so, simply contact us here , send us a detailed email to support@thirst4work.com or call us on +27 32 586 0106 (during office hours), and we will be happy to do this for you.

Social Media

How is Thirst4Work utilising the power of Social Media?

We are continually striving to harness this power as we feel it is the way forward in how we interact with each other, and most especially in how people will seek and find their ideal job.  In light of this, since its first launch, T4W has incorporated tools such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and others into its core infrastructure.

  • Twitter:  job vacancies are tweeted to their relevant job sector as listed on the jobseekers landing page, as well as to a main Thirst4Work feed.  You as an employer are also able to add your own Twitter account to your profile, and have any vacancies you post simultaneously tweeted to your own feed.  Thus, any followers of these feeds are immediately notified of any vacancies posted.
  • LinkedIn:  Jobseekers are able to import their LinkedIn profiles into their Thirst4Work Professional Profile.
  • All other social media platforms:  Each job advert has a “share” button, which enables users to repost and share the advert via almost any social media platform they can think of.

Can I link my Company’s Twitter account  to Thirst4Work?

Yes, simply add your Twitter account details in on your “My Details” section on your account.

What will this do?

Adding your Twitter account  to your Thirst4Work profile will enable your job ads to be automatically Tweeted via your company’s own Twitter stream.  (Should you wish to discontinue this at any stage, simply remove your Twitter  account details from your Thirst4Work profile.)

Improving your employer image:

What kind of information should I include in my company’s T4W profile?

You should have a brief description of your company, as well as a company logo, and your Twitter account, website address, contact number, or any other relevant information you would like clients and candidates to know about you.

How can I improve my employer image?

  • Professionalism is key.  Make sure you always reply to candidates applications, even if you cant help them – they will be likely to remember you and refer you to friends, family, and co-workers.  A good referral speaks volumes.
  • Proof read all your job adverts before posting them- check they are readable, all information is complete and accurate, and there are no spelling errors.
  • Upgrade to our premium package:  Your company branding/logo will be displayed on all your job ad’s, your job ad’s will be placed at the top of search results, and your advert will display a “verified” sash, showing that Thirst4Work endorses your company as one of our partners.

Website Plug-in

Can I have my job adverts that are posted to Thirst4Work displayed/linked on my company’s website?

Yes.  The process should take no more than 5min to achieve. All you need to do is the following:

  • Login to your Thirst4work employer dashboard
  • Scroll down to the blue box and copy all of the content. (iframe info)
  • Open your blog or website source files and browse to your Vacancies page
  • Paste the contents into the code, save and update your site

All of your jobs that you have listed on Thirst4work will now display on your own site, be tweeted and displayed on Thirst4work.

Secular Advertising on Thirst4Work:

How can I get a free company branded banner advert on T4W?

On your dashboard on the bottom left of your screen, there is a blue box with the heading “Earn advertising credits”.  In the box you’ll find a URL or link, this is a unique code, linked to your company only.  All you need to do is copy and paste this link onto any email you may send to a candidate who you are unable to assist.  If they click the link it’ll take them back to us, and if they register their CV on our database, you will earn an “advertising credit”.  Once you’ve reached 200 job credits, we will give you a FREE banner ad on our website endorsing your company. Now you have (a) a free job ad on a busy website, (b) a happy candidate, (who is impressed with your professionalism and helpfulness) and (c) peace of mind, that you are indeed helping South Africans to find their ideal job!
